ABOUT OUR PASTA & SAUCES
Our Pasta & Sauces major supplier is "MYLELIA". A family run business, which produces hand made, gourmet, top quality products among which are pasta and sauces. They come only in small quantities and are based on the traditional Greek family cellar of our grandparents' generations. The MYLELIA range includes a variety of almost forgotten recipes, some of them have a modern touch and all of them have no preservatives at all.
MYLELIA made the first step in 1994. The family renovated a 250 years old water mill in the island of Lesvos. After 35 years of inactivity, the water mill once again produces flour in the old traditional way.
All pasta is made of high quality durum wheat cultivated in strictly controlled conditions. The grain is stoned milled into flour at low temperatures, thus preserving its texture and nourishing qualities only water is used as source of power. Apart from this healthy and nourishing flour, the MYLELIA pasta is made of the freshest eggs, milk and herbs, and is dried at room temperatures for 4 to 5 days so as to preserve its unique flavour.
The tomato sauces are all made of sweet fresh tomatoes, a wide variety of fresh vegetables, herbs and olive oil.
So all you have to do as you navigate in the "Pasta and Sauces" area of our e-shop is choose your favourite pasta and sauce (won't be easy!) and enjoy a glorious, healthy meal with those you love the most.
